Aravind Jeyakumar Moniraj

I am Aravind Jeyakumar Moniraj, from India and I belong to the Methodist tradition (Methodist Church in India – MCI). I am married to Lilly Jeyakumar and God had blessed us with a son and a daughter. The elder one is Alfred Lemmy Jeyakumar and the younger one is Judith Vivian Jeyakumar. I served as a lecturer in the department of Biblical studies (Old Testament) at the Leonard Theological College (a seminary of MCI), Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India, till April 2013.

I have secured a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc., Zoology) from the University of Madras, Tamilnadu, India. I have done my theological education from the Gurukul Lutheran Theological College and Research Institute, Chennai, India which is affiliated to the Senate of Serampore College (University) – both Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) and Master of Theology (M.Th. in Old Testament) degrees. Presently I am pursuing my doctoral programme at the University of Hamburg with the scholarship of the Missionsakademie at the University of Hamburg.

The proposed title for my doctoral dissertation is: “Rediscovering the Uniqueness of Creation Traditions in Deutero-Isaiah.”
