Joseph Williams Acheampong

Joseph Williams Acheampong is my name. I am a Ghanaian and a Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. I am married to Golda, and we are blessed with Immanuel and Stephanie.

I studied at the Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon – Ghana and Princeton Theological Seminary – U.S.A for my Bachelor of Divinity and Master of Theology respectively. Presently I am working on my doctoral dissertation at the Hamburg University with sponsorship from the Missionsakademie in Hamburg.

The theme for the dissertation is: “‘Let my people go…’ The relevance of the Exodus of the Israelites to the understanding of salvation among some Pentecostals in Ghana – A critical reflection from an Akan perspective”.

I am also interested in researching into scientific biblical interpretation from the perspective of the African context.
