Justin Moses

I am Rev. M. Justin Moses from India. I am residing at Missions Academy, at university of Hamburg for six months (March-August 2013), in an exposure for my research. The Missions Academy has provided me the stipend during my stay.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in English from Nesamony Memorial Christian College, Marthandam in 1997, and M.A degree in Sociology in 2005. I did my Bachelor of Divinity (B.D) at The United Theological College, Bangalore in 2002 and Master of Theology (M.Th) in Religion in 2006 at North India Institute of Post Graduate Theological Studies (NIIPGTS), under the Senate of Serampore College (University). I am affiliated to Church of South India, Kanyakumari Diocese, Tamil Nadu. I served as lay volunteer in 1997-98 and as B.D Probationer in 2002-2004 at Church of South India, Kanyakumari Diocese. I was ordained as Presbyter in October 2009 by the Church of South India, Kanyakumari Diocese. I am employed as an Assistant Professor of Religions at Serampore College since 2006. In June 2009 I could enrol as a doctoral student under North India Institute of Post Graduate Theological Studies (NIIPGTS) which is one of the doctoral centres in Religion under South Asia Theological Research Institute (SATHRI) of Senate of Serampore College. The title of my research work is ‘Mahatma Gandhi’s Integration of religion and politics and its relevance in the context of Hindu nationalism today.’ I am interested in the area of religion and state interactions. I am married with Mrs. S. Ezhil Rejitha M.Sc, B.Ed, M.Phil (Mathematics), and we have a son- Jecinth Moses, studying in 2nd standard.
