Naibu Naftali Nyambo

My name is Rev. Naibu Naftali Nyambo. I was born on 14th, January 1974.
In short, after completing Secondary school at Itamba, I attended Teachers Trainings at Tukuyu Teachers College from 1995 to 1997. This college is owned by the Tanzanian government.

In the field of theological studies: My journey started in 1999 when I studied Diploma in Theology at Tumaini University Iringa College until 2003. Followed by my ordination in September 2003 whereby I became a Pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania- South Western Diocese. Later on I studied Bachelor of Divinity from 2005 to 2009 at Tumaini University Makumira in Tanzania. Then I studied Masters of Theology in pastoral Theology dealing with a theological reflection on HIV/AIDS at the same University. Currently I am a PhD candidate of Tumaini University Makumira. My working title is “The Role of Lay Preachers in the church: The Case of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania in Tanzania- South Western Diocese” in the discipline of Practical Theology.

I am married to Mary Manase Mahenge since 2005. God gave us three children. Their names are Christopher, Christian and Christina. Currently I am at Mission Academy at Hamburg University for a short term scholarship.  Thank you very much for supporting me in this programme.
